Driving Improvement In Community Services
Community services across Frankston Mornington Peninsula are undergoing considerable reform, where the focus is on promoting consumer choice and control, and meaningful engagement in service planning, delivery and design.
The Frankston Mornington Peninsula Community Services Quality and Safety Forum is quality improvement cooperative that provides a forum for health and human services from across the catchment to collaborate in promoting quality governance to support delivering safe, effective, person-centred community services.
The Forum has taken a special interest in ‘consumer engagement and participation’ in service design and delivery.
Forum participants agree that a client’s experience of and participation in services are basic indicators of quality and safety.
The recently released Victorian Government Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Community Services Quality Governance Framework and Client Voice Framework have provided opportunity for continued networking regarding:
Current state of consumer engagement and participation in community services across Frankston Mornington Peninsula.
Better understanding the consumer experience of community services across Frankston Mornington Peninsula.
Identifying organisational capacity building needs of community service organisations across Frankston Mornington Peninsula for safe, effective, connected, person-centred community services – including workforce learning and development needs.
Facilitating collaboration amongst community service providers to support and focus on collective improvement efforts in promoting quality and safety of community services across Frankston Mornington Peninsula – in particular consumer engagement and participation’ in service design and delivery.
