Summary
Building the capacity of individuals to understand the link between gender inequality and family violence is necessary in building an organisational culture that supports gender equity.
Raising awareness and building the skills and confidence of staff to promote gender equity in their work is essential to creating gender equity in the workplace.
In collaboration with Women’s Health in the South East (WHISE), we’re exploring the link between gender equity and family violence to understand and promote the role of the workplace as a setting for prevention of violence against women.
We’re supporting organisations to increase their understanding of whole-of-organisation approaches to the prevention family violence and promotion of gender equality; and to adopt best practice approaches to achieving gender equality, including embedding gender equity into organisational systems and practices.
